Welcoming NDS Executive Director, Jennifer Pecoraro
A new chapter begins at New Dimensions!
After a thoughtful and comprehensive search, the New Dimensions Board of Directors is excited to officially welcome Jennifer Pecoraro as our new Executive Director.
We’re grateful to the staff, parents, administrators, and community members who helped inform this important decision — and incredibly excited about what comes next for NDS.

The New Dimensions Board of Directors immediately felt that Jennifer would be a good fit for our school, and our confidence in her only grew throughout the interview process. She brings a strong background in instructional leadership, student support, behavior, staff development, communication, and organizational leadership, while her most important role remains being a mom and spending time with her family. Two of her children will be attending this year, so in addition to her leadership role, she will also be invested in our school as a parent.
The Board was not willing to compromise on finding the right person for the role or sparing any effort in the search process. We employed the services of an NC-based recruitment agency specializing in charter school leadership with experience searching for candidates all around the country. After a full month of outreach and collecting resumes, they did extensive vetting of the candidates, including the initial interview and contacting references and colleagues within areas they had worked previously.
The Board’s hiring committee then conducted remote interviews with the most promising candidates until finally extending two invitations for a full-day visit to the school. Those days consisted of a school tour and one-on-one conversation with Mrs. Hollifield, a lengthy in-person interview with the full Board, a staff round-table conversation with administrators and SIT team representatives, lunch and a community tour, and concluded with a parent round-table discussion. Throughout the process, we collected qualitative and quantitative data from everyone who participated to help inform our decision.
For all those who participated, we cannot thank you enough for your time and thoughtful feedback. New Dimensions is a community, and we felt strongly that the varied perspectives everyone brings needed to be represented during our search. While the final decision rests entirely with the Board, your input was an invaluable part of the process and we offer our sincere gratitude.
We’d also like to extend our utmost gratitude and appreciation to Mrs. Hollifield for stepping into the role as Interim. Her strength, wisdom, kindness, and love for our school and students provided an anchor of stability and confidence that was exactly what we needed to get us back on track and ready for the school year.
Additionally, the Board had the opportunity to partner with all staff like never before, and we witnessed firsthand the commitment to students and their families. We couldn’t be more thankful!
The Board is confident that we have found a leader whose experience and strengths align with the school’s needs. Jennifer will begin her tenure by listening, learning, and building relationships. Her appointment represents an important step toward stability, academic excellence, a healthy school culture, and long-term success.
Finally, we want to recognize how important your role as a parent or guardian is in that success. We are excited to partner with families and hear your ideas on how to help our school continue to thrive this year and beyond!

We have no doubt that our best days are ahead of us. This year is only the beginning of a new phase for NDS that’s bursting with potential.
