Welcome, New Kindergarten Families! Important Upcoming Events for the Start of the School Year
Starting kindergarten is a big milestone—for both students and their families! At New Dimensions Public Charter School, we're excited to welcome our newest learners and help make the transition into school as smooth and successful as possible.
To help families prepare for the first day of school, we've planned several important events designed to introduce students and parents to our school community, meet teachers and staff, and ensure everyone feels confident and ready for the year ahead.
Kindergarten Jumpstart & Family Information Meetings: August 18 and 19
August 18 | 9:00–11:00 a.m.
Families with last names A–K
August 19 | 9:00–11:00 a.m.
Families with last names L–Z
Ask questions, learn about classroom expectations, and begin building connections with teachers and fellow families.
Elementary Open House: August 26
August 26 | 4:00–6:00 p.m.
Visit classrooms, meet teachers, explore the school, and get excited about the year ahead. We encourage all kindergarten families to attend.
Parent Conferences: August 31 and September 1
August 31 | 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
September 1 | 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Staggered entry allows teachers to spend additional time getting to know students and helps children become familiar with classroom routines in a smaller-group setting.
First Day for All Kindergarten Students: September 4
This is the big day! All kindergarten students will attend together for their first full day as a class. By this point, students will have met their teachers, explored their classrooms, and begun building confidence for a successful school year.
