Isaac Crouch
Chair
icrouch@ndschool.org
As a parent of an eighth-grader who's attended the school since kindergarten, Isaac believes that what NDS offers is truly unique in our area and is honored to serve the school. His practical governance experience gained through leadership roles on multiple local non-profits, including serving as Chair of the Burke County Board of Health, reflects a steady and collaborative approach focused on community, research, & outcomes. As a small business owner, he also brings to the table administrative, fiscal, and management experience.
In what feels like the distant past, he obtained a graduate degree in education and a teaching license. His brief time as a high school teacher made it clear that he wasn't cut out for the job of educating and managing 70 teenagers in a classroom on a daily basis. However it left him with a deep respect for the important, challenging, and often thankless work educators do for our students day in and out. Over the years he has seen how much the entire school community cares about the overall well-being of our students, providing them with the highest quality of education possible, and preparing them for the future in a rapidly-changing modern world.
